Here's how it works

Enroll in a Bachelor's degree program

  • You have a German university entrance qualification (e.g. Abitur) or
  • You have a university entrance qualification (university degree, Abitur, etc.) from an EU member state and have already had this converted into a German grade by the International Office of TU Dortmund University
  • The application deadline for Industrial Engineering is 15.07. of each year.
  • The study programs Mechanical Engineering and Logistics are NC-free, so enrollment is possible until the Friday before the start of lectures of the winter semester.

For all bachelor programs of the Department of Mechanical Engineering a basic internship of 8 weeks has to be completed!

Prospective students are recommended to complete the entire basic internship before the start of their studies. If this recommendation is not adhered to, considerable delays in the course of studies must be expected, as the lecture-free periods are taken up by examinations, examination preparations and intensive consolidation of the lecture material. In addition, the basic internship before the start of the study program is useful because it promotes the understanding of the courses already in the early semesters.

Prospective students from non-EU member states should contact the International Office of TU Dortmund University directly.
