TU Dortmund University and Ruhr University Bochum are funded as a “Network of Excellence” through their joint Ruhr Innovation Lab —one of only twelve “Universities of Excellence” and three “Networks of Excellence” nationwide.

As a student, this offers you many advantages: With more funding available, research at both universities can be advanced even further, bringing greater international attention to both institutions and the entire Ruhr region, and helping you build an even stronger professional network. Specifically, through the planned Student Future Lab, you’ll be able to connect directly with researchers and get involved in research at a very early stage.
