WE.DO Engineering. Together. Stronger.

WE.DO is an initiative by and for female academic staff at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Dortmund University. Our goal is to connect women at the department, strengthen professional and personal exchange and create space for mutual support in order to strengthen research and teaching and make them fit for the future. 

WE.DO challenging the status quo

As women in a department in which we are still underrepresented, we want to offer a platform where experiences can be shared, questions can be discussed openly and perspectives can be made visible. We come from different chairs and disciplines - we see this diversity as a great strength of our network.

WE.DO networking

WE.DO thrives on exchange: on conversations about academic work, career paths, challenges in everyday working life and ideas for the future. We want our network to be an open place where contacts can be made, experiences shared and new ideas generated.

WE.DO support

We welcome suggestions, topic requests or needs for exchange. In particular, all female students in the department are invited to contact us with questions and problems.
