Prof. Matthias Faes and Frigga Göckede from the Department of Mechanical Engineering are awarded with the Internationalization Prize

The award ceremony for outstanding engagement to internationalization took place on 27.10.2025 at the Westfälischer Industrieclub.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Dortmund University is pleased to announce that two of its employees have been recognized for their exceptional commitment to internationalization.

Prof. Dr. Faes, Head of the Chair of Reliability Engineering, received the prestigious Internationalization Award for his impressive number of publications in cooperation with international scientists. This award not only recognizes his scientific achievements, but also his contribution to the global networking of the department.

Ms. Göckede, Coordinator International Affairs, was honoured with the Internationalization Award in the Administration category. For example, by implementing centralized processes, preparing information for specific target groups and providing individual advice, she has made a significant contribution to advancing the internationalization of the department and opening up new perspectives for students and staff.

The award ceremony took place on 27 October 2025 at the Westfälischer Industrieclub and honored the valuable commitment of both award winners.
