It is aimed at German students and trainees in STEM subjects. Participants develop and deepen their knowledge and understanding of China and German-Chinese cooperation, thereby expanding their professional and intercultural China competence. Bildungsbrücke MINT is funded by Stiftung Mercator.
The program:
- Every year, 15 participants* travel to China to gain on-site insights into Chinese culture and society through meetings in universities and companies and to learn more about the current state as well as the future of German-Chinese cooperation. Lectures, discussions and workshops on subject-related topics are planned, as well as meetings and exchanges with students and professionals in China. In 2023, due to travel restrictions in China, the program will take place as a hybrid event, partly online and partly in presence in Germany.
- The stay in China, respectively the hybrid event in Germany comprises 8 working days plus arrival and departure.
- The entire program consists of a kick-off event, a 4-week online preparation, the study trip and a 2-day final event.
