Prof. Uwe Clausen from the Institute of Transport Logistics (ITL) has celebrated 25 years of service at TU Dortmund University's Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Prof. Clausen studied at the TH Karlsruhe and completed his doctorate at the TU Dortmund University. After working in research and industry, he was appointed to the university. Since then, he has headed the Institute of Transport Logistics (ITL) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML).

In his many years of work, Prof. Clausen has been involved in numerous university committees, was Dean and Vice Dean of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and chaired several commissions for the structural development of the department.
His research focuses on transport logistics, sustainability and the circular economy as well as simulation and optimization in transport logistics.

On the occasion of his anniversary, the Dean presented Prof. Schulze Darup with the certificate.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering would like to congratulate Prof. Clausen and thank him for his many years of commitment and his valuable contribution to the success of the department.
